Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using ShowCato (available at showcato.in and associated mobile applications), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

These terms form a legally binding agreement between you (the "User") and APP TEAM ("we", "us", "our"). If you are using ShowCato on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these terms.

2. What ShowCato is

ShowCato is a B2B catalog sharing platform that allows sellers (business users) to:

• Upload and manage product catalogs
• Create secure, time-limited catalog links for specific buyers
• Receive structured product enquiries from buyers via WhatsApp, email, or PDF
• Manage buyers, staff, and enquiry records

ShowCato is a communication and catalog management SaaS tool only. We are not a marketplace operator, seller of goods, shipping provider, or escrow service. We do not process payments between you and your buyers, execute orders on your behalf, or guarantee any transaction between you and your buyers.

Any sale, payment, delivery, return, or dispute between you and your buyer happens outside ShowCato and is solely your responsibility. ShowCato only helps you share catalogs and receive structured enquiries.

Paid subscriptions or storage purchased on ShowCato are billed by APP TEAM for use of the software platform only. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

3. Beta version — important limitations

• Service stability: The platform may experience downtime, bugs, errors, or unexpected behaviour. We do not guarantee 100% uptime during beta
• Feature completeness: Some features displayed or described may be incomplete, non-functional, or subject to change without notice
• Data integrity: While we take precautions, data loss is possible during beta. We strongly recommend maintaining your own records of critical product and buyer information
• No SLA: We do not offer a Service Level Agreement during beta. Response to issues is on a best-effort basis
• Free during beta: The platform is currently free. We reserve the right to introduce pricing after beta, with at least 30 days notice to registered users
• Beta feedback: By using the beta, you agree that your feedback may be used to improve the product without compensation

4. Your account

4.1 Registration

• You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account
• One person or business may not create multiple accounts to circumvent limits
• You must be at least 18 years old to use ShowCato

4.2 Account security

• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and confidential
• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately at info@appteam.com if you suspect unauthorised access

4.3 Staff accounts

Account owners may create staff sub-accounts with limited permissions. The account owner is responsible for all actions taken by staff accounts under their subscription.

5. Encryption & password responsibility

Specifically, you understand and accept:

• ShowCato encrypts sensitive user data; some fields may use your password as part of the encryption key
• APP TEAM employees cannot access, view, or decrypt your product data, buyer information, or enquiries
• If your password is lost or forgotten, some or all of your encrypted data may be permanently unrecoverable
• Password reset allows account access but does not guarantee recovery of previously encrypted data
• We will not be liable for any data loss resulting from loss of your password
• You are solely responsible for maintaining access to your account credentials

6. Acceptable use

6.1 Permitted use

ShowCato is for lawful B2B commercial activity — sharing product catalogs with business customers and receiving product enquiries.

6.2 Prohibited use

You may not use ShowCato to:

• Share or sell illegal, counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, or prohibited products
• Share pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, or regulated goods without required licences, approvals, or accurate labelling
• Share weapons, explosives, narcotics, or items restricted under applicable law
• Share adult content, obscene material, or content that violates any applicable law
• Make false, misleading, or unsubstantiated product claims (including health, safety, or certification claims)
• Spam buyers or send unsolicited commercial communications without lawful consent
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the platform or other users
• Scrape, copy, or republish platform content without permission
• Use the platform for any fraudulent or deceptive purpose
• Violate intellectual property, trademark, or copyright rights of others
• Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Upload buyer contact details without a lawful basis or proper consent
• Create accounts for purposes other than legitimate business catalog sharing

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

7. Your content

You retain all intellectual property rights to the product information, images, and data you upload to ShowCato ("Your Content").

By uploading content, you grant APP TEAM a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the ShowCato service on your behalf.

You confirm that:

• You own or have the right to share all content you upload
• Your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
• Your content complies with all applicable laws

8. Storage & pricing

• Free tier: Every account includes 1 GB (1024 MB) of free storage during beta
• Additional storage: Available for purchase at ₹100 per GB per year (or as stated at time of purchase)
• Payment: Processed via Razorpay or Cashfree. Payment terms apply as stated at checkout
• Refunds: See our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Storage and subscription purchases are generally non-refundable unless there is a billing error on our part
• Storage limit: Uploads will be blocked if your storage limit is exceeded. You will be notified by email before this happens
• Pricing changes: We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days email notice to registered users

9. Service availability

We aim to maintain ShowCato availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

• Take the platform offline for maintenance (we will endeavour to give advance notice)
• Modify or discontinue features at any time during beta
• Experience downtime due to third-party service providers (Hostinger hosting, etc.)

We are not liable for any losses arising from platform unavailability.

10. Termination

10.1 By you

You may delete your account at any time from Settings, or by emailing info@appteam.com. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be deleted within 30 days.

10.2 By us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Use the platform for illegal activity
• Provide false information during registration
• Engage in abusive behaviour toward other users or our team

We will give notice before termination where possible, except in cases of serious violation.

11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

11.1 Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, APP TEAM disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

• The platform will be error-free or uninterrupted
• All features will work as described at all times (particularly during beta)
• Data will never be lost
• The platform will meet your specific business requirements

11.2 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, APP TEAM shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Losses arising from data loss due to password loss or encryption limitations
• Losses arising from platform downtime or service interruptions
• Any loss or damage arising from your reliance on information in the platform

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim (or ₹1,000 if you are on the free plan).

12. GDPR & data processing (for EU users)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area:

• APP TEAM acts as a "Data Controller" for your personal account information
• APP TEAM acts as a "Data Processor" for the buyer data and product data you upload
• By accepting these terms, you enter into a Data Processing Agreement with us as described in our Privacy Policy
• Data is transferred outside the EU to India — we apply appropriate safeguards as described in the Privacy Policy
• Your rights under GDPR (access, erasure, portability, etc.) are described in our Privacy Policy

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Surat, Gujarat, India.

Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at info@appteam.com — we will make every effort to resolve disputes amicably within 30 days.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Your continued use of ShowCato after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

The version of the Terms in effect at the time of any dispute shall govern.
